semi lucid or just very vivid?

Ive just joined DV! finding the forums very interesting and informative. Ive recently become very interested in LDing and over the last week and a bit ive been keeping a dream journal, previous to this ive never really been able to remember any dreams ive had during the night, but since ive been become interested ive been able to remember some most nights (usually during school nights they're not as vivid or I dont remember any at all). Last night I had 3 very interesting dreams, the second being the most vivid and detailed ive had for a long time. It was like a movie scenario, i was in a group of people, funnily the leader of my group was Liam Neeson (been studying schindlers list in school) and we were being followed chased by men in suits with sunglasses, Im not going to bore you by explaining it all. Now im not sure whether i was semi-lucid or it was just very vivid. throughout the dream i remember events very well, during certain scenes (it sort of jumped from place to place) i could half heartedly do things which were commanded to me, for example, we were in a video store which was blown apart, like out of a post apocalyptic movie, and I was told to take cover, i was scared so i ran to the back of the shop and hid behind a shelf at the back rather than at the front near the danger. I remember partly controlling myself into doing this but i didnt feel anything, none of the senses were strong at all. so im just wondering what you think, is it a semi lucid state or just a very strong dream?

Hello, and welcome to DV! I'm sure you'll like it here, we're all very nice. If you actually thought "this is a dream" or something similar, it's a lucid dream. Some lucids can be quite unclear though and that's why they are said to be semi-lucid I've noticed my dreams have gotten a lot more vivid since I began lucid dreaming though. Good luck!
