Semi-Abstract Dream Memories induce Vivid Dreams

First let me explain what I mean with "Semi-Abstract Dream Memories".

I have countless memories of dreaming life, from one month to 15 years ago and even longer ago.
These memories are very complex memories. Not like common memories. They are more like mass memories that are stored deep in the subconscious.

They are like compressed memories that contain insane amounts of information. This memory includes the smallest percieved details of dreams like, scenery, colors, situations, characters, events..etc, but it also includes the emotional content of the dreamt experiences. In great detail.

Basically these mass memories are bundles of memories belonging to specific dreams I have had throughout my now 24 year long life. They contain every single detail of these dreams I've had.

I hope you know what I mean with these "semi-abstract dream memories".
A more common explanation might be how you wake up vaguely remembering a dream in the morning, trying to focus on this abstract, inexpressible feeling of the dream you were just in and as you do that some visual and situational memories suddenly float into your conscious mind again.

Because these memories seem to be stored in my subconscious I'll have to make some effort to bring them up into my conscious mind. And I believe I found a way to tap into the Subconscious mind to retrieve these dream memories and induce extremely vivid, well remembered dreams

Last night I went to bed and as I was laying in my bed trying to fall asleep I realised I hadn't remembered having had a vivid, emotionally pleasing dream in a long time. In a rather spontanious experiment I decided to focus on one of these countless Subconscious dream memories intending to end up in dreams of a particulair, deeply emotionally satisfying, enchanting nature.

I would focus on one single visual memory (usually a scenery) of a pleasant dream I remember. By doing that I automatically find that more information, that belongs to the same dream to which that particulair visual memory belongs, automatically streams from my subconscious into my conscious mind.
Situations, Dream Characters, the Emotional content of that particulair dream. When I focus on the details of this dream memory-bundle (like for instance one particulair Dream Character) I suddenly find that more memories of other dreams (in which this Dream Character also appears) stream into my conscious Mind. It's like a Dream memory nexus where one memory becomes a gateway to another subconscious memory once it has been consciously remembered and so on and so on.

This way I can retrieve alot of dreammemories, however last night I tried to use this to incubate vivid dreams by focussing on these old dream mass-memories.

It worked because I awoke from a very memorable, extatic/emotionally enlightening and well remembered dream. This while my dream recall has been horrible for about 1 year.

Can those of you that know what I mean with these subconscious dream memories see if it induces vivid, memorable dreams for you too?

      Here's what you do:
      -Focus on these memories
-Let one memory, bring up more "forgotten" memories.
-Focus on these other memories. Let them link to other memories.
-Toggle through these various linked dream memories as you fall asleep.

-See if you remember having had significantly more vivid dreams and post the results in this topic.

      Thank you ExoByte.

      However more people should try this and report back. It's really simple;
Memorise strong memories of past dreams as you're falling asleep to induce dreams of a similair nature.

I will attempt this again tonight and report back tomorrow.

I've tried this for three nights in a row now. Sadly the first night I was kinda drunk. But nonetheless, the second night I had an unusually vivid dream where I sat on a swing outside my old school next to a girl who was pretty much my "first love". Throughout the dream we kinda just sat there reminiscing about our time at that school and how that spot by the swings was where she asked me if I wanted to be her boyfriend, and I turned her down. (It was a few years later that I fell in love with her hehe). Anyway, it's something I haven't thought about for a long time, and it was a nice, feel-good kind of dream.

The third night was crazy. I remembered more dreams than I have ever done in one single night, which was about 6 I think (difficult to say whether some of them were part of the same dream), and they were all very strange compared to my usual dreams. One of them was even a nightmare, which is also unusual for me. One particular dream stood out and left me with a similar warm and cuddly feeling afterwards like the school dream did. It took place in the house where I grew up, and I was hanging out with a bunch of old friends that used to be close to me, and we were just having a great time. This was also an unusually clear dream.

Anyway, i'm gonna keep trying and see if this keeps up. So far it's done wonders to my dormant dream recall.

I saw this post before sleeping, tried it, and thought I would post upon waking up. Though my vividness is generally high, it increased even more so. I picked out a dream memory and was concentrating on it a bit, and then drifted off too other memories before sleeping. The vividness was actually better than real life, like the difference between an HD movie and a normal one. Just so much detail. I missed an RC because I thought it was real life as dreams can't be THAT vivid.
Go ahead guys, check this out. Really helps.

The crimson blood shimmers on the snow,
The shattered heart weeps of hidden sorrow.
And over a pure white sky,
      rises a black moon.'

      Excellent!
I'm so glad to hear it's been succesfull for you too.
I had been kind of sidetracked and distracted from this method because of a whole lot of unnececairy everyday nonsense,
but seeing how succesfull it has been for 2 other dreamers has motivated me to practice this method again tonight.

We should continue doing this and keep reporting back here to see if we can get better at this to induce even more vivid/lucid dreams and to remember even more dreams.
More people should try this though.

I had a real hard time focussing on these dream memories because my mind was pretty restless.
The heat here also made it difficult to relax and fall asleep. Still I managed to remember just a few and it resulted in more vivid dreams than usual once again only they weren't remembered concretely. It's like they're on the tip of my tongue, but I can JUST not say what exactly I dreamt about.

It's clear to me that for this method you need a fairly calm, clear mind to succeed. I assume this method would be alot more effective if a thorough mind&body relaxation session was done prior to it.
Perhaps I'll try this method again tonight, but this time after some 30 minutes of intensive Yoga excercises. (Which I know to calm/clear my Mind&Body significantly)
