The first time you take a supplement like galantamine often produces the most dramatic effect. Prepare for your initial experience and don't waste it!

If you were studying with a spiritual master, he would probably require you to preform some sort of purification ritual the day before you had your experience. This is not nonsense. It energizes your subconscious, telling it that what you are doing is important and valuable. We keep dream journals for the same reason. If you approach it as routine, you may get little or no results.

My first experience with galantamine was absolutely mind blowing. Perception was as vivid, if not more vivid than waking reality. It was in every way another reality, and I was totally conscious and alert. After an experience like that, you will be highly motivated to hone your LD skills.

DawgBone, I really thank you for the reply, and I take the advice to heart... do you have any personal suggestions for me on how to use galantamine. You say your first experience with it was mind blowing... what method did you use to induce the lucid dream along with galantamine; do you recommend any certain process when you wake up to use the supplement?

Yuschak recommends that you take galantamine and choline after an initial period of deep sleep. So it is basically "wake and back to bed", say 3 to 4 hours after you go to sleep. He suggests that you don't do anything active, just take the supplements and then relax again. He then attempts a WILD. That's his technique.

I haven't mastered WILD yet, so I just go back to sleep. Getting back to sleep can take some time, maybe an hour or two. The supplements have a stimulating effect. Just stay relaxed. With any luck you will enter REM and become lucid automatically. That happened to me the first time. Otherwise use the usual techniques to become lucid in the dream.

Even if you don't become lucid the supplements will almost surely give you interesting dreams.
