Thread: Things not working in dreams?

Im not sure what section this should go in sorry.

I read on here about things not working right or not working at all in dreams but that has never happened to me. They say that light switches wont work yet in every dream I have flipping a light switch does exactly what I would expect. Same with electronics i have used a gameboy for a flashlight in a dream before. Just like I would do in real life.

It seems that what works and what doesn't can be different for some people. I'm not very experienced but last time I was LDing I realised that I could not actually push my fingers through my palm so thats kind of a useless reality check for me :/

depends what state of mind you are in. if you are expecting the light to turn on then most likely it will

Probably because you expect it to somehow.

So nobody on here expects anything to work? I know the dreamworld is all in my head and fake but still when Im in it I think of it as a perfectly logical and real existense that I was somehow added into for a short period of time. Oh yeah and I also happen to be a badass in that world

What you need to do with RC's is really believe its a possibility you are dreaming. A sort of related example would be like when people go onto those glass floors that extend over a cliff or a building or something and all that separates them and the ground is a piece of glass. Most people that first go onto one of those are really scared, because in the back of their mind they really believe the glass might brake and they will plummet to their death. Just an example of how to really believe you might be dreaming that I just thought about.

I never said anything about RCs in fact Idont even use them

Light switches work in my dreams as well.
