      forgetting a lucid dream?

ok so the other night, i was sleeping and i repeated a mantra a couple of times in my head and i went to sleep really fast.

when i woke up i had no recollection of any dreams when i woke up, until i went to school i saw this weird ass girl that was in one of my dreams, i then instantly remembered tiny fragments of one dream and i remember another dream where i became semi-lucid.i even remember the type of landscape i was in, it was a deserted street that seemed like it was about 5:00 pm because the sun was lowering, but i don't remember any of the events. i knew i was dreaming but i didn't really control it or anything all i remember is that it was very vivid, but i'm kinda bummed i didn't really remember anything.

is there any tips to stop this?

i have the exact same problem as you

when i woke up at 4am (i have an alarm set, to help with dream recall, although it hasn't helped much)and 7am (for school) i had no recollection of any dreams. But on the bus thinking and i randomly remembered getting a lucid dream.

i forget what the setting was, but i remember thinking "something isn't right" and i decided to do the Checking hands RC. first time i counted 11, i tried again and counted 10, then 11, then 10. i wasn't convinced either way, so i decided to do plug-nose RC i could breathe fine, that's when i thought "sweet, im dreaming". i forgot what happened before or after though

any tips on recollection would be nice
