      First Lucid Experience

Hi guys, I haven't posted here much, but I've been reading a lot of your guides closely, and something finally happened yesterday

I KNOW I'll remember this part later, but for some reason I was walking about 3 minutes from my house, back towards where I live. In the dream I'd only wanted to go into my back garden but had ended up walking way too far, and had turned around to go back home (weird, I know).

This is the point where I realised I was dreaming, now I had to get lucid. I used a really weird technique for this, Im not even sure if I was doing it, or how I was doing it, but I do know for sure what I was thinking. Bearing in mind I was walking at the time, my idea for getting lucid was to use my real sleeping body, and in my sleep curl the ball of my feet, just below the big toe, on my left foot, and then on my right, and then alternate. The theory being I was somehow simulating walking in my sleep I guess. Now if I'd videoed myself and watched it back I VERY much doubt my feet would have been curling up left to right, but thats what I was thinking, and thats how it felt.

Anyway, this worked INSTANTLY. Being taken into the dream body was genuinely one of the weirdest feelings ever. I could feel every step, and I was very impressed by the fact that my mind could map out the 2 or 3 roads 3 minutes from my house perfectly. The position of every tree, every car, every dustbin. It was really freaky! I was also scared by the fact that as soon as I went into my dream body I looked at my hands every few seconds. It's amazing what your subconscious will learn just form reading and being told over and over.

So, I turned towards a tree and thought I was going to fly, and I did. It took some getting used to, I kept sort of gliding at first, but I got it in no time, and flew around the surrounding roads etc.

Then, I flew RIGHT up around cloud level, so the road was a dot, and flew across the mass of land I could barely make out below me, and landed at the football stadium of the team I support. I landed on the roof, and the dream ended.

To me, it seemed like the total time was about 5 minutes I guess.

But yes, very very scary, but totally awesome experience

Thanks to you all for all the great guides! Couldnt have done it without them!

The only advice i have to give you is to keep your mind AWAY from your actual sleeping body. That can put you in a FA or completly wake you up. Stay focused on the dream. Touch everything that you can. Try to use your sense of smell and look for all the details that you can possably see in a dream. That should keep you away from waking up.

Other than that all i have to say is CONGRATS. The more lucids you have the more will come.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
