It's happened to me quite a few times over the past months. Once, I was out in my yard with a bunch of people I haven't seen in quite sometime and some I have. They showed up and everyone was happy. Conversations endured and we chatted about all sorts of things, Also throwing the football around the yard. Well, I got to the end of my yard and I couldn't breathe in my dream. I immediately started trying to pull chewing gum out of my mouth to free my airway but the chewing gum was endless and as I kept pulling I couldn't get it all out. I literally felt I was drowning or smothering to death so I wanted to come out of the dream. Well, I fought to get out of the paralysis and while fighting I could feel myself moving my lungs. A crushing sound in my brain was present as I was trying to get out. Just wondering what could be causing this?
Last night I was surfing the web in my dream and got onto my Myspace page and I had a friend request from a guy with an Alien picture. *Weird I know* I said who is this? I wonder what he has on his page? So, I clicked on his page and the next screen was filled with holes and weird colors and a buzzing, crushing sound was present in my brain. Fear overwhelmed me! Same situation occurred as in not being able to breathe and such.
It's like when I try to control my dreams I get shut off or something. Or when a dream goes to far from me controlling it, something insane, unexpected, or terrifying happens and forces me to wake up.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated! One conclusion I had is maybe I'm sleeping on my artery in my neck reducing the blood-flow going into my head?
