I decided to write something to kinda promote lucid dreaming a little bit. I have let a few people at school read it and one of my friends told me about an experience he had in a lucid dream.

Well here it is.

Lucid Dreaming

Hello if you are reading this then I assume that you are interested in learning about lucid dreams. You may also already know a bit about this topic and be interested in learning more about it.
If you don’t know about it then I will start by trying to hook you with the concept. Imagine having an infinite list of super powers. Imagine being able to go anywhere you want even if it completely defies everything you know about science. I’m here to tell you that YOU CAN do all of this and even find out more about your own subconscious thoughts.

The door? Dreams
The key? Awareness!

That’s right awareness. The first step in learning to do anything in your dreams is to become aware. Awareness in dreams does not come easily for most people, however don’t be discouraged because of this. To realize when you are dreaming you first need to know what a dream looks like. Often something in a dream might have a subtle difference that is hard to recognize but sometimes the differences are HUGE. When a pencil sprouts legs and starts running around your paper and the words you just wrote don’t show up clearly that is a good sign that you are dreaming.

So you have suddenly realized you’re dreaming. Great you are officially lucid. Now what? Now the most important thing is to not get overly excited. If you get too excited it is very likely that the dream will dissolve and you will find yourself waking up in your bed. Stop and take in the detail of the dream try notice everything. The more real it seems the better.

Ok now that you have become lucid and are firmly anchored into your dream you can start to control it. How do you control a world? You have to start by realizing a dream is not reality. The laws of nature do no apply. In waking life we walk on the ground because gravity tells us to. In a dream everything only exists if you pay attention to it. If you ignore gravity deny its very existence it will disappear. You can do anything by realizing that it all comes from you. This is great for fighting nightmares as well. A chainsaw wielding maniac is chasing you. Why? Because you allow it to. Stop and ignore the danger that was only created by your mind anyways. Make yourself know without a doubt that there are no baddies anywhere, instead there is just a cute little bunny hopping around.

I’ve told you a little about trying to control your dreams but don’t stop with just this. Explore yourself. Develop a method of control unique to yourself. There are many different ways to control that you can find by searching on the Internet or by practicing yourself. I hope that everyone who reads this will be able to awaken the power of their sleeping minds. Happy Dreaming!
