      Dream Recall while working full time

      Ok well I'm kind of having a hard time remembering dreams since starting my new job. I think its because I get up so early and have so much on my mind. I've only remembered part of one dream all week. I'm getting discouraged... just started my new job Monday , maybe I need time to adjust. Anyone else experience this

      Yes, very much so. For me, the quality of sleep, dream recall, and lucidity rate are all effected by work and stress. It's really hard, but one must really adopt the attitude of leaving work at work and letting go of those thoughts and worries. I have struggled with this for years.

      One thing that has helped recently is to set aside time before going to bed to relax. Zeo calls this a "power-down hour". During the hour before bed, avoid doing anything exciting or stressful. It sounds so simple and obvious but it's a challenge to really do this whole-heartedly. Turn off the computer and TV. Mere distractions won't quiet your mind. Try reading, journaling, or meditation. Also, a hot bath can work wonders.

      I've also accepted that some nights will just be off nights. If I have no recall or if I sleep poorly, I try not to let it get me down or criticize myself. That is the really danger. Recall comes and goes, but discouragement and self-doubt are the real enemy. So instead, I focus on recall just 2-3 days out of the work week and I just try to have fun with my dreams on the weekends.
      I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

      Yeah I started my dream journal 3 weeks back while it was still the holidays my dream recall was about 7 dreams for my first night first day back at school dream recall averaged around 1-3 cant wait for the summer holidays (southern hemisphere)
