      Wake up

Has anyone ever experienced when you body doesnt seem to want to let you sleep? This happens to me from time to time, particularly after exciting or lucid dreams. When I wake up after a lucid dream I often try to get back to sleep but every minute or so there is a funny feeling in your forehead and what looks like hypnagogic imagery, accompanied with a loud as well as very odd noise. It happens just as you are falling asleep and wakes you strait back up. This has happened to me for as long as I can remember, not very often but it cetainly happens from time to time.
I dont know what this is or whether anyone else has experienced this. I would be interested to hear your thoughts so please reply. Thanks alot!

I have not experienced this as such but when I wake up from a lucid dream it is really strange because I could jump right out of bed litterally, in contrast to the usual groggy slow and sleepy me after a regular dream. Wait come to think of it I woke after a lucid dream and then started falling back to sleep again except it felt like I was going through a tunnel at light speed and digital text was scrawling across my visison then I got woken up to go to school...

Are you sure it's not a False Awakening, i.e. you accidentally induced a WILD? Make sure you do an RC.

You may be right but I reality check afterwards and always find I am awake.

Sleep Paralysis? I remember this used to happen to me too, I dont know if it's same thing, but whenever I laid down and closed my eyes the loud noise would kick in almost immediately and I had to move to make it go away, then when I lay back down it happens again..

You break out of sleep paralysis before it settles - Why? Staying still whilst this is occurring can lead to the most profoundly real dreams.

Maybe thats what it is - but I dont really experience any disability to move and if it happens one morning it does it at least 10 times
