      Question about vision.

Last night I had my first lucid dream! I was at school and realized that I shouldn't be there, I was on break! I was instantly transported to a bed in a hotel room. I tried to explore the room, but my vision was very murky.

Which leads me to my question: How can you increase the clarity of your vision in lucid dreams?

Congratulations! Welcome to the fantastic world of lucid dreaming! (And welcome to the forum!)

One of the best ways to 'stabilise' a lucid dream is by spinning on the spot for a few seconds. It may sound crazy, but it really leaves the dream a lot clearer and more defined.

Also I once read a LD guide that suggested it was a good idea at the start of a LD to take a few moments to appreciate each of the senses individually, and that this aids clarity - e.g. stare at your hands for a few moments, really inspect the amazing detail that your brain is capable of producing; and similar things for the other senses.

      Good luck!

      Current aim:
      End the dry spell!

Congrats on the lucid dream! And, welcome to the forum!

I've experienced quite a bit of "murky" vision as one would call it, too. I try not to let it influence my outlook on the dream and let it make things worse; instead, I still explore. I was in my basement in a lucid dream once, and although my vision was dark, I still knew where all the furniture was, and when I'd bump into something. That kind of thinking can help.

If it's really annoying, though, try commanding the dream to give you better vision. Ask, even. Or, you can always try teleporting to somewhere lighter. If you're indoors and your vision is poor, try giving a reason for it - poor lighting, maybe - and then open a door, expecting outside to be light and clear.

Edit: LibLord's suggestion of spinning is a good one, but be sure not to spin too fast; it's just to know what's around you.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

One of the methods of increasing clarity is simply yelling out "Increase Clarity", it has worked for me and it should work for you as well.

Another thing that you can do is take Vitamin B6 supplement of fruits/foods containing Vitamin B6.
You can also try just waiting for the dream to stabilize and it might naturally cause the dream to become more vivid.

And apple juice! It's good for vividness too. ^.^

Whenever my vision is murky in a lucid dream I reach into my pocket and wipe my eyes, as if washing out dirt or something.
