Is it possible to dream you where lucid ?

      Hi everyone

Now I went to bed last night had a B6 , woke up at 3 stayed up about 1 hour then went back to sleep

Now , I remember becoming lucid, spinning to keep focus , shouting "clarity full' and then after a few minutes my dream lost it's edge I lay there in the dark and thought now should I get up so as I remember it more clearly, then thought well not much happened so didn't bother and went back to sleep

now the problem is I usually am all excited and feel great after becoming lucid, but when I woke in the morning I had no overwhelming feeling of accomplishment - so have to wonder did I really do it or did I just dream I did it
or am i loosing the excitement , this would be better as i may more likely be able to have them

      all the best

Yes! Once I was dreaming and in my dream, I went to sleep. In that dream sleep, I dreampt I was lucid....I mean, it was like I knew I was dreaming, but there was still a veil over my brain that wouldn't let me take complete control. It was crazy.

If you dreamt you were lucid, wouldn't that still mean you were lucid? To me all it means is that you were aware but not in control. Also, if you have a dream that you are dreaming a lucid dream, you are still lucid in one layer of the double dream and just unaware of the other one.

Dreaming you were lucid is the same thing as saying you dreamt you were aware. Your either aware or your not. I believe if you think you dreamt you were lucid, then its still lucid just to a lesser degree.

Dreams very in intensity. Lucidity comes from going through a threshold of conscious awareness, and it seems to depend upon an actual perceptable energy. sometimes you just barely skim through, and other times blast through and go high above it.

and then, when considering Lucid Dreams, after you have had your first several dozen, it becomes no longer a matter of whether you have Lucid Dreams, but what you do with them when you have them. Have you set goals for yourself? do you have any aspirations? have you used your Lucid Dreams productively to achieve any of these milestones you have set for yourself. But if you only want to chase around for sex and fly around, then it is understandable that eventually it would start getting old and hohum.

Tsukin and bryan: I've understood that when you dream about a lucid dream, you might do all kinds of fun things and seem to have control. Anyway, you don't really have control over the dream because you're not aware of your dream. So dreaming about a lucid dream would be dreaming about what you'd do in lucid dream. I might be wrong but that's how I've understood it.

Then again, being lucid in a dream simply means being aware that you are in the dream, regardless of control. Dreaming you are aware is the same as being aware, only to a lesser degree, like bryan said. You are only half aware of what's going on. Having such a dream is like having 2 dreams layered on eachother. In the 1st layer you think you really are in bed and thus non-lucid. And in the 2nd layer you are aware that you are dreaming but oblivious to the fact that what happened prior to the dream was also a dream. And due to the lesser degree of lucidity, there is little to no control, but the awareness is still there, making you lucid in only the 2nd layer.
