Erm...well i have an LD about every 2 weeks or so...& i can do WILDS @ any time i try hard enough...w/enough patience i might add. But i wasnt able 2 do any of this...er..well @ least intentially...'till like 7 months ago. But i know a lot of people who can't pick it up that fast, i really have no idea why i did. Um....well i really didn't have 2 do reality checks...i just would pick out dream signs so i would be able 2 be like "oh if this is here...i must be dreaming." & when i would be going 2 bed, i would keep telling myself what i would want 2 happen when i would dream & just imagine it happening 'till i went 2 sleep & it happened.
This is a weird thing 2 reply 2...i dun' wanna sound all i dun' know cocky about LD
I guess if u have any questions...about anything on how i progressed or did some LDs...WILDS...etc. u can just ask.

Yep, that would be me. I started 13 years ago, when I was 30, by accident. I've been working on induction for the last 5 years, but have only been working hard at it for the last year and a half.

I used dreamsigns and reality checks when starting out, and still do. Most of my lucid dreams still come from recognizing dreamsigns in my dreams.
I also use MILD and WILD, but have had better luck with WILD.

So, I guess you can say I am lucidly challenged and have to work at it harder than most. At my best, I've had as many as 5 a week. At my worst, which is right now, I've only had one in the last month.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      Dear Barcliff,
What all the Gurus say is that ‘if you take one step toward Spirit then Spirit will take a step toward you’. There is no greater tool for intensifying Dreaming than simple intent… though of course, your Higher Dream Mind will appreciate seeing actual concrete demonstrations of your ‘intent’. All of the old Dream How To Books used to propose keeping a dream journal, and writing dreams down. However, you can only write down dreams that you remember. What will impress your Dream Mind most, if you are so new to Dreaming that you even have problems remembering your dreams… what will help there is to deliberately express, to your mind, that not having Memorable Dreams is a point of great anxiety for you.

You see, in the same way as the Subconscious Mind influences the Conscious Mind, through Suggestion, so it is that the Conscious Mind can also influence the Subconscious Mind. Demand, over and over again, to have Dreams… Memorable Dreams… and memorable dreams you will have.

Next… realize that although it is important to understand your dreams, what might be more important is how you act in your dreams and how you respond to your Dream Choices. Consider that not every detail of your dream was somehow pre-ordained, but that the direction of the Dreams may have followed from the choices you made within the dream. So when you reflect upon what the dream meant, focus upon your behavior. How will you know you responded with the correct choices? If your Higher Dream Mind supposes you are not responding correctly to the dilemmas presented in Its Dreams, then you will notice the same Dream Themes or Motifs repeating and recurring. It is like being asked to keep re-taking your Driver’s Test because you keep getting something wrong. So don’t think so much of ‘interpreting’ your dreams as ‘evaluating’ your dreams, and evaluating your Dream Self’s behavior.

Anne Faraday wrote a good book in her day – “Dream Power” – and one of her major points was that Dreaming built character – that the skills and attitudes that one acquired in one’s Dreams were transferable to waking life. This is true, but we should remember the inverse of that proposition – that skills and attitudes of Waking Life should infuse our Dreams. Consider that it will not be our Waking Self that will live beyond the grave, but our Dream Self. And how many of us allow our Dream Selves to run amok like demonic and crazed animals. So we should evaluate our Dream Actions not on how much release we experience, but upon the Morality, and, what’s more, the Nobility we can manifest.

The First Thing the Angels of Dreaming taught me more than a half century ago was “Only those at the Bottom cannot go to the Top”. Don’t be satisfied with a Dark and Wild Dream Self. Don’t be a Savage Primitive in your Dreams, but reach upward toward Higher Civilization and then finally toward a Higher Spirituality. Find The Mountain in your Dreams and climb it. Don’t stay at the Bottom.

      Yes!

When I was still a young lad learning how to juggle (I wanted to learn how to juggle as a test... figuring that if I could juggle I could also fly an airplane, and, yes, I eventually became an airplane pilot), I found that my left hand was not quite as capable as my right hand, and I intuited a solution to that problem. Every time my left hand 'dropped the ball', quite literally in this context, I would give it painful but not harmful slap... I would give my wrist a 'slap on the wrist'. Well, it worked! The Deeper Me -- the Kinetic Me -- realized that to avoid pain, it would have to perform to expectation.

So, yes, inducing a bit of mental anxiety is exactly the thing that will push your Mind into providing you with Dreams. But remember, it is a two way street there. Your Dream Mind will be aiming toward achieving certain goals for you. So if you do not follow the Path that it lays out, then your Dream Mind may well make your self chosen alternate path uncomfortable for you. Dreams of roads ending in swamps, or streets narrowing to jungle tracks crawling with snakes.

You know, some people, in their youth, had very active Dream Lives, but when things turned ugly, resulting from bad choices they had recurrently made over and over again in their dreams, then they simply gave up, and whether fully consciously or not, decided they were better off not dreaming... or at least keeping their dreams below consciousness where they would not need to be bothered by unpleasant memories.

So a certain amount of Bravery is needed for an Active Dream Life. You will not pass every Test the first, or even the second, or even the third time. And Pain, and even Terror is what our Dreams use to tell us we are making Mistakes. But if we go into our Dreaming with a determination to develop Discernment, then it is inevitable that we will eventually move forward and then upward.
