I need help on this one. Lucid Dreaming very odd ending

this is long but if you have the patience and wisdom to help interpret this please do if not feel free to skip.

I didn't know what lucid dreaming was until a 5 or 6 years ago, though id been doing it my whole life. I started recognizing and pulling my self out of nightmares as a kid, As i got older i started recognizing i was in a dream and trying to do whatever i wanted, they usually fell apart rapidly. Now at 43 My dreaming is almost another life, epic dramas, adventures, traveling, hearing symphonies id never heard before, going places I've never been, all in what seems full consciousness. I often wake up either mentally or physically exhausted. I have explicit dream recall, full color and details. I tell my wife about my dreams and shes shocked at how detailed and epic they are and how i can change them. I have no formal techniques 90% of the time once I'm dreaming i already know I'm in it, nowadays i just go with it and let it happen better or worse unless it gets really hairy and i bail out or change it. Recently though something really strange happened that I've been dying to share cause I'm really confused by it, and it was so different than any other lucid dream I've ever had and i need help deciphering it.

I was in a dream 2 weeks ago where i was talking to 2 friends, one had recently died (hadn't seen him in 20 years, but found out he was dead a few weeks ago in real life) the other was not. I realized in the dream that one of them was dead and i couldn't be in reality so i must be dreaming. Realizing this I went outside where another old friend of mine comes up to me and says hey man whats up. I said Gregg, when's your birthday? I personally did not know it but i figured if the person i was talking to was real, he would know their own B day.( i know now these are called reality checks) he of course did not know upon which i told him we were in a dream. this dream character got really angry and stormed off pissed i told him he wasn't real. Skipping the rest of that scene i had a little time to myself and being i was at my house i grew up in i decided to walk around. by now the characters had dissipated angry as well and it was just me. I walk into our shed, and my brother is in there and another man id never seen before. Happy to see my brother in the dream i hoped he was in a co joining dream, I said hey were in a dream, no response just sitting there. I said " we are, look my body is right there in the bed...nothing..to prove it to him i said look i can change that guys face, which i did, it morphed and warped. Still no response. I asked him when his Birthday was (which i know), and he just sat there. I said you aren't real either, this is where things got weird. he got up and seemed scared, his "character" looked like it was falling apart, he left through the wall, and everything in the dream just got bland and nondescript (all very Matrix like). I created a door in the shed and walked through it to a big grassy field with a huge wall of bushes in front of me about 50 yards away. When i got to the bushes there was a little dog (Pomeranian) that saw me and ran through the bushes. I pushed my way through to the other side and was on white sand for miles beautiful blue sky and i start heading towards the horizon...the dog now 20 yards away, the dog growls as i walk towards it, and i know its going to bite me. I decide to let it to see how much pain i could feel in a dream. the dog jumps and i let it bite into and hang from my right arm. the pain was low and dull but got more intense. i reached a point where I didn't like it anymore and shook the dog off. The dog lands on the ground and looks up at me and says "get out of here". Very forcefully. The dream fell apart right there. For the first time, because i was so "conscious" in the dream, i had a very hard time getting a grip on being awake.

I am wondering now, if like my sister thinks(who also lucid dreams often), that i violated some dream rules or disrupted the "dream center", or if i was getting close to my subconscious and got booted out. I don't know, I'm a novice at all the terminology and how it works.
