Dream guides can be defined in as simple of terms as any dream character that teaches you, or mentally stands out from other DC's (has meaningful conversation, insight, thinks dependabtly). Most people find their dream guide through search, others notice a DC that's in all of their dreams or a DC that the dreamer can't control. It seems as if most people that find their dream guide find them after lots of lucid dreams; almost to help you move past the basics to the advanced lucid skills. I've even heard of someone walking into an office and yelling for their dream guide to which the secretary finally responded that the dream guides were in a meeting and that he should come back in three or four lucid dreams. |
