Has anyone regretted learning to LD?

There is always some discussion about the fears of lucid dreaming. The moral reprecutions, can I wake up, is it relgiously wrong, will demons kill me, etc.

But I was curious..........I do not know of one single person who has regretted, felt sorry, disappointed, or have been distressed about. learning the techniques of Lucid dreaming.

      Please elaborate on your response.

      Interesting question

To me, it's kind of like asking some of these questions:

Do you regret learning how to swim?
Do you regret learning how to dress yourself?
Do you regret learning how to eat solid food?
Do you regret learning how to breath?

I guess my answer is no, I do not regret it, however......

Now that I know such a cool and interesting thing like lucid dreaming exists, it makes the dry spells especially sucky!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Oh I could never regret having my lucid abilities. They came to me unknowingly, like a gift that arrived out of no where. And since then I have had hundreds of amazing experiences that I could never even imagine!!

I hope to learn more about myself, and grow from what my dreams have to teach me. I would like to have a better understanding of the world around me, physical and spiritual...explore different mental planes...meet people that will help further me in my spiritual journey and hopefully be able to one day master the technique of dream sharing.

I regret it every time I wake up at 4 am to do WILD. But that's only because I'm sleepy. I love LDing. That feeling you get when you become lucid

Do I regret learning to lucid Dream.. absolutely not. Do I miss the water when the well runs dry.. very very much.

As Seeker stated.. dry spells are so much more discouraging when you know what you're missing (and you aren't sure when they'll end).

So from what I see there so far is no regeret to learning to lucid dream. If you are away from it for whatever reason you miss it. Like any other thing you love.

I love my dreams and knowing what they are. I like to know when I dream so I can look for things to help me in the real world. I do not try to control dreams. Really I stopped trying after I failed over and over.

I regret it on those mornings when I wake up having had twenty or so forced false awakenings before I could truly force myself awake. Which is silly, I know, since I shouldn't have to FORCE anything. And it's only a temporary concern -- I question my waking sanity far more than that of my LDs, if you know the feeling.
It is important that we do not judge these few unbiased moments of our lives, but take them as they are. There is no nightmare for the lucid dreamer, nor no shadows on the mind.

I can't say I have ever had anywhere near that many false awakenings.
I wonder if there is away around that?
I have never questioned my sanity in a lucid dream. I have in waking life. I do know the feeling.

I appreciate false awakenings. Know why? It's because I'm still dreaming.

I am in the same boat as you Shlumpeet! It sucks. It as is if someone has just turned of a switch. I don't understand.

But I don't regret all of the fabulous experiances I had when I was lucid dreaming. They are memories. Of coarse I wish I could create some new ones.

Good luck to you and your dry spell Shlumpeet!

OH I dont know..,.. I mean I LOVE lucid dreaming, and I love knowing baout it. It has defined me in so many ways. BUT( this is hopefully this a temprary situation) I uused to have more lcuid dremas beofre I knew what they really were, I htougth they were some how a real place, and the magic is only slightly deminihed when you knwo its just your mind( but even cooler in some ways) and now I havent been able to slep at night, I just get exicted... Its a good and bad thing, I woudl relaly just love to beable to lay down and be knocked right out and sleep for once... But overall I lvoe lucid dremaing sooo soo much, and I will lvoe it forever. SOmtimes you just have to give one thing up for something that is eventualy better.

Definetly dont regret it, Lucid Dreaming has such an enormous ability to open your eyes to aspects of the world that you woud normally ignore or not realise existed. It's a secret that we here thrive on,

I posted something. Then I wanted to delete. I can't. So now you're reading this crap.
