I use to say "sensor system"--that every sensor system was composed of three parts, acquisition, processing and product. Then I settled on "environmental acquisition system" while refering to life forms--perception, conception, will. To focus on the perceptual part of the system i.e. to lucid dream, while ignoring the conceptual aspect, and thus the product, seems quite odd to me. Sure one can focus on perception, but not without a clear real or imagined outcome, a real or imagined product. The most fruitful acquisition seems to be not when dreaming, but when awake.

My thoughts exactly now! You can't do everything in real life, so you might as well devote a little time in daily life to ensure that you can do it in your dreams.

Daydreaming is actually my problem too! My head is in the clouds. Today.. Reportedly, not so much! I've even written a reality check reminder on my hand to remind me to.. Well, of course, perform a reality check, but to remind myself to stop daydreaming as well.

Thanks! So far.. I FEEL like I'm getting closer. I've noticed changes in my sleep and dreaming already, almost like the building blocks are being put down once again. I'll get there.. Tonight. It's my birthday, so I'm giving myself a birthday present by having a lucid dream -crosses fingers-

I understand what you're saying, and it's important to keep that in mind. Thank you.

I'm hoping this thread is not just a help to us, but other people as well. It's one thing to say you're ready to start being serious, but an entirely different thing to actually do it. So good luck to everyone!
