      What are these?

during many of my WILD attempts, i let my mind wander, and i have almost vivid daydreams. they look like dreams and work like them, but for some reason they dont feel the same. its like they are almost under developed, or close to waking up. today i became lucid in this semi dream, and since i dont know what it is i dont know if it is a wild or dild.

You said they were almost vivid daydreams, so did you feel yourself in the bed while they occurred? If so, then it sounds to me like you experienced hypnogagia. If you didn't experience actual sensations (like see or hear things) it could simply be your mind's wandering thoughts. This tends to happen during WILD.

If you did not feel yourself in your bed, it could be that they are actually dreams. What you think will happen, even at an unconscious/subconscious level tends to happen in dreams. So if you perceive it as under-developed during the actual dream, maybe it'll feel that way.

These are just some of my thoughts, I hope it gives you some help in finding out what you're experiencing

i dont think i could feel my body, but im not sure if i was in SP either, its hard to explain but it was like any other dream but it had this odd feel to it that made it seem strange to me. it could be a few things or maybe since it was so far in the morning it had crappy quality and im imagining things.

I think you experienced the visual and cognitive aspects of hypnagogia.

Yeah, as others have already said it's just hypnagogia. I have these also. Sometimes they last for a long time which makes it very hard to remain conscious while I wait to enter a real dream. I normally don't feel my body in these unless I start to think about it for some reason. Just like if you are caught up in an intense daydream you don't feel your body unless something shifts your attention to it. When I have these I'm not in SP yet.

oh cool, what threw me off was that i was expecting scattered images and sounds, not scenes and conversations.

I think you're not fully asleep yet or fully in a dream. Sometimes you vision scenes and they begin to play out as small clips but are more thoughts than a dream. -Chase
