Just a quick question, i would like to know how many people have succeeded with lucid dreams during a day nap? I think that most people fail with becoming lucid not because they lack the skill, not because there not concentrating hard enough but because timing is not right. I reckon if we can catch the right time to lucid dream then everyone can do it.
I believe this because if you think about it, it is almost impossible to become lucid by going to sleep at night straight away. One has to wake themselves up 4-6hrs after and then go back to sleep. (timing is crucial) Then if your lucky you'll have a lucid dream, but many factors may still disrupt the sleep cycle and the brain may not be in the right state to initiate a lucid dream and some may therefore fail.
I think when we go to sleep our minds are not meant to become conscious (if it was then we all would be lucid). This could be because the body is replenishing itself or repairing itself or is doing whatever is necessary to be ready for the next day. So we must time our minds and/or bodies to wake up when those processes are finished and our minds are capable of lucid dreaming (R.E.M sleep).
If you are to take a nap then the mind may be more relaxed and not deprived of sleep and the body will have already had enough sleep to repair itself so will go into a R.E.M phase making it easier to stay conscious thus the ability to be aware and become lucid.
Just a thought. Open to opinions
