Congrats on your lucid success! Control will just take some practice, so just keep working at it. I tell my DCs to do nose pinches all the time . They usually do them and "become lucid" with me. At least they act as if they are also lucid dreaming. When you had trouble speaking, the dream was likely becoming unstable at this point. Try to remember to do some stabilization techniques as soon as you become lucid. This will help everything settle in, as well as help extend the lengths of your dreams.
