In the dream, you don't have eyes, nor do you have a body, remember that and just "see" |

When I am in a lucid dream, how do I open my dream eyes without opening my real eyes? Whenever I have tried to open my eyes in a dream (though I cannot exactly remember why I shut them) I just end up opening my real eyes and waking up. This problem is not just related to opening my eyes, but eyes in general, sometimes I will wake up by just trying to adjust my vision... |

The solution is very simple. Don't try to open your eyelids! In the dream world, you have no eyelids and by trying to open them you awaken eventually. Instead, whenever you become lucid, you need to deepen the dream environment (so it becomes more realistic). If you have no vision, try constantly touching everything near you and, when you have vision, try to peer closely at every object nearby. This process doesn't take more than 30 seconds. |

Okay, I'll keep this in my mind. If I would have known about this before... boy, I could have had some amazing experiences... I have missed out on so many LDs because of trying to open my eyes. X_X |

Try imagining that you have a body and touch it. Feel your body with your hands, this will also help the dream stabilise. |

What do I do if I begin seeing 'black spots' in my vision in a dream? I have never been able to 'un-do' these black spots. they grow bigger and bigger until they 'rip' my dream apart into real-life vision. Are black spots a way of telling that your eyes are opening/your REM period is ending? Is there no way to fix it? (And believe me, I have tried sooooo many stabalisation techniques) |
