      WILD and REM

So, I am STILL trying to WILD and I have only been successful in one of my attempts, which didn't last long...
I was thinking about what I could be doing wrong....
Is WILDing dependent on REM cycles? I mean, can you WILD even when you are not close to an REM cycle? I usually try to WILD as soon as I lay in bed for the night, without any sort of sleep beforehand. Is that the reason I cannot WILD?
Is it even possible to have dreams in non-REM sleep?

To put it simply, you need a few hours sleep under your belt before being able to WILD successfully. As far as I know, dreams only occur during the REM stage of sleep. Try combining WILD with WBTB - set an alarm for 4-6 hours (4.5 is good) after you think you'll fall asleep. Hopefully it'll wake you up in a REM cycle and your chances of pulling off a successful WILD will skyrocket.

It IS possible to induce sleep paralysis if you try to WILD when you go to bed for the first time but it isn't possible to dream. I've not done it but this is what I've gathered from other people's experiences.
