Put on my night cap, pet my dog, create a resonance cascade scenario, drink nine glasses of milk, call a random telephone number and ask what time it is, wrap myself in ham slices, and then I take fifteen doxylamine. That's the last thing I remember each night.
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

Wut? Are all these statements references to something? I see the Half Life reference, but the others I don't follow.

I normally check DVs one last time, then I set three alarms; one for 3 hours before I need to wake up and one for 1.5 hours before. I start listening to Delta Binaural beats and perform a MILD mantra while falling asleep. When the first alarm goes off I do another mantra while falling asleep, and when the second one goes off I attempt to WILD.

I don't have any before-bed-routine. Admittedly, I don't even have an anywhere near regular sleeping pattern. But I still am good at recalling dreams and also have lucid ones about once a week.

Maybe having a before bed routine can help, but from what I've read on here, if you have a problem with recalling dreams in the first place, it can be helpful to set two alarms per night: One for when you'll have had about 4 hours of sleep, then one after two more hours of sleep and the next one when you finally have to wake up. Setting your alarm at these times of your sleeping time should make sure you wake up close to your REM cycles (in which dreams occur). Any time your alarm goes during the night, try and lie possibly still and try to remember your dream(s). It should be easier than usual due to you being closer to the last or still within a REM cycle when the alarm goes off.
I hope this description wasn't too confusing and it'll work for you

Hm... well if you're trying to induce more lucid dreams, definitely try repeating your mantra several times before bed and as you fall asleep. That's what I've been doing anyway (hasn't been working too well so far).
Also try listening to some binaural beats while you relax... kinda like what LikesToTrip said.

I don't think that trying to LD is very successful if you can't even recall your dreams at all? Before starting and trying to LD I'd rather try to be able to recall my dreams.
