      Interesting Talk About Lucid Dreaming

I just came back from a holiday from my youth group holiday... and the guys in my room started talking about lucid dreaming. I thought it'd be interesting to share.

G:"I heard that if you draw a triangle on your hand, then look at it all through the day, then when you look at it in a dream you don't see the triangle -- because you can't see ink in your dreams -- and then you can control the dream because you know you're dreaming."

This surprised me, partly because it's an odd technique and if I was to tell anyone how Lucid Dreaming works then I definitely wouldn't use that one. Another thing that surprised me was that he spoke completely calmly and casually about it. He didn't talk as if it was weird. I told them all about how I do it, but I didn't say anything about DV. I wanted to come across as if I do it casually, rather than it being a big hobby.

I'm really happy about it, so I thought I'd share, even though it's not really a discussion topic. So this probably seems like a pointless post.

Thats cool, I still have yet to meet anyone else who is interested or even knows what lucid dreaming is outside of a few friends. That is an interesting technique they suggested, never heard of that before. Seems to me like looking at your hand alone would be enough to help you realize you're lucid but I have only done so successfully once so far.

I did correct him on the technique, explaining that there's no reason ink wouldn't show up in dreams. I said that you can just look at your hand or count your fingers, and he accepted it perfectly well
