      I have a question

Hi, well last night/this morning i dreamt a normal dream, then woke up in the morning, went back to sleep and had another dream which involved me being at a party. After the party etc i was planning on going home but suddenly i was in my bed (in the dream). I started to think how did i get here? was so confusing because i didn't know how id gotten from the party to my bed, and then again i was suddenly somewhere else, (on a train). it was so confusing, but now im thinking about it, if i was to have thought about it harder in my dream could i have realised i was dreaming and maybe started to lucid dream? (i dont really know much about lucid dreaming)

First of all it appears you had a false awakening. A lucid dream is where you realize you are steaming and are able to control it. Hope that helps.

If you had stopped and considered the possibility that you were jumping from place to place without rhyme or reason then yes, it is entirely possible that you could have had a lucid dream. A false awakening is a dream about waking up, and generally occurs in the morning shortly before you actually do wake up, so I don't believe you had that. What you want to do to take advantage of these sorts of situations is practice reality checks. If there is something strange happening like that, try pushing your hand through something solid, or try flying around. You'll generally be able to do something like this, and the realization will help you become lucid.
