WBTB: Alarm wakes me up during REM

just a quick question.. i did a WBTB last night, and my alarm woke me up during a very long (at least in dreamsense) and vivid nonlucid dream. when i woke up to turn off the alarm i immediately wrote down everything i remembered. as i went back to sleep after reading a lot about lucid stuff, i had a lucid. but the dream had ended rather quickly and abruptly before i could even think about stabilizing. i will admit there was some excitement (as i was making out with a girl when i became lucid), but was the dream ending a cause of me finishing my REM cycle or me being too excited? edit: i tried to deild, but it didnt work too well. i ended up getting hypnotized by the HI and falling asleep, making me believe that i was pushed back to stage 2.

It doesn't sound like you were just finishing REM cycle because the dream ended just after it started, although it is possible. Most likely you got overexcited and that's what caused the dream to end. ShockWave.

Well i dont think i made it clear... i was in the middle of a dream until my alarm woke me up. So it didn't quite end yet i think,.
