      Try the hypnagogic imagery method. When going to sleep, relax completely, and try to remain thoughtless and still. As you begin to relax, close your eyes. Visual images will likely appear. Do not try and focus your attentions on any one of them; let them flow past you as you casually observe them.

      It's a good alternative to theta waves if you dont wanna listen to stuff.
