      Very mad

I am very mad at myself. I'm getting kind of frustrated with my dreams because whenever I try to LD it ends up not working.

I use the MILD technique most often, and I would like to learn to use HILD.

But anyways, a few months ago I was having lots of LD's, but they were unstabilized and fuzzy and not good, so I gave up. But earlier this week I had a lucid dream without trying, and now I am back on track.
Anyways, I usually watch a lucid dream induction video and repeat mantras as I go to sleep. Is there anything else that is easy to do that can help me become lucid?
      Thanks.

I would suggest WBTB and doing a dream scene enactment like finding something that may indicate you are dreaming or acting out a sequence from the movie Inception after watching it during the WBTB for example where DiCaprio tosses his totem to check if he's dreaming or not you also do the same during the same scene.

Look HILD up on the Wiki Dictionary.

Don't get mad it just makes the LDing process harder.
Like what you said, usually people get LDs when they "give up" and stop over thinking. Just keep doing what you're doing, dream journal, autosuggestion, mantras, etc.
      Just have confidence, its key.

I'm a beginner as well, but I have had 3 situations in which I became lucid (none lasted more than ten seconds). On all three occasions, I was very confident the night before. Don't get angry at yourself, and be patient.

Stop being lazy and look it up yourself. He wasn't being arrogant, you're being ignorant and expecting someone else to do it for you. Instead of crying that someone won't do your work for you, how about you help the guy.

erible is right, Kiwi. Frustration doesn't help the dream process and you can't give up so easily. You should practice ADA to increase awareness and vividness and once in a dream, make sure to activate all your senses.

Kiwi people arent against you here, we all share the same goals. Why do you think you were told to look it up? The intention to researh and learn will help you to plant it in your subconscious anyway so it's all great advise.

In other words if you want to learn to lucid dream you have to be prepared to do your own reading too, and not JUST here on the forums (although they do have pretty much give you what you need) but it's all a learning experience really, to anyone here, regardless of the level of skill anybody has. So I wouldn't think anyone is being arrogant, that's just how it is.

Like people said, just take a break, if your getting stressed about it, it's not gonna help, take a few days off and come back to it with a fresh, confident and positive attitude and I'm sure you will get it back =].

      Nito.
