Do WILD's feel more real than DILD's?

I exclusively DILD, and average roughly one (that I remember) per night. Once I really do attain lucidity, and start thinking about it, there is quite some vividness to them; I can place my hands down and feel the roughness of concrete, for example. Once I wake up, however, I realize how non-vivid it really was, in comparison to reality.

I've seen quite a few reports of very lucid dreams, and most of them seem to be linked to WILD's. Is this accurate? Does anybody here have very vivid DILD's? Is it linked completely to how conscious your brain is (which would explain why WILD's have a tendency to be more vivid)?

Sometimes WILDs are more vivid and realistic than DILDs. Although a DILD can be extremely vivid, and a WILD can be unclear. Most of my WILDs are more realistic than my DILDs. I think it has to do with your awareness in the dream. Good observation.

Amongst the DILDs that I've had, some have been really vivid, like my first ever LD, whereas others have felt like just a fragment. The vividness of the dream is linked to how aware you are of the dream, and how many details in the dream you're paying attention to. To increase your awareness, you can stabilize more in the dream, and try to notice as much of the dream as you can. I think that the reason WILDs are sometimes more vivid that DILDs is because the mind is already aware when you enter the lucid dream, whereas the awareness must be gained in a DILD.

ive had pretty fuzzy WILDS and very vivid DILDs. but my memory of the dream is often fuzzier than how i felt during it.

i guess they could be because you enter with full awareness, but you could definitely give it the same clarity while in a DILD with concentration and stabilizing.

Sometimes... during a WILD you are a little more awake. More awake means thinking more logically, so more vivid dreams.
