Sometimes WILDs are more vivid and realistic than DILDs. Although a DILD can be extremely vivid, and a WILD can be unclear. Most of my WILDs are more realistic than my DILDs. I think it has to do with your awareness in the dream. Good observation. |

I exclusively DILD, and average roughly one (that I remember) per night. Once I really do attain lucidity, and start thinking about it, there is quite some vividness to them; I can place my hands down and feel the roughness of concrete, for example. Once I wake up, however, I realize how non-vivid it really was, in comparison to reality. |

Amongst the DILDs that I've had, some have been really vivid, like my first ever LD, whereas others have felt like just a fragment. The vividness of the dream is linked to how aware you are of the dream, and how many details in the dream you're paying attention to. To increase your awareness, you can stabilize more in the dream, and try to notice as much of the dream as you can. I think that the reason WILDs are sometimes more vivid that DILDs is because the mind is already aware when you enter the lucid dream, whereas the awareness must be gained in a DILD. |

ive had pretty fuzzy WILDS and very vivid DILDs. but my memory of the dream is often fuzzier than how i felt during it. |

Back into lucidity since 4.10
My intro thread | Levels of Lucidity
"...and then this mean kid came to the door and started shooting at me with a fudgecicle..."
in my DILDs its as vivid as i make it in one of them it was so vivid that it was scary because whats that say about real life if it replicated so easly how do you know real life is real |
|
i guess they could be because you enter with full awareness, but you could definitely give it the same clarity while in a DILD with concentration and stabilizing. |

From my rotting body,
flowers shall grow
and I am in them
and that is eternity.
-Edvard Munch
Sometimes... during a WILD you are a little more awake. More awake means thinking more logically, so more vivid dreams. |
