      Having stabilization issues in LDs?

I need some help with this problem. Once I become Lucid I try to stabilize but sometimes it fails. I don't know what to do to make my dream more stabilized. I try rubbing my hands together technique bit it never works. And sometimes when I'm aware that I'm dreaming I try to use my senses but it doesn't work. Am I trying too hard or rushing too fast? The most common thing that only works is if I stabilize the contrast in my LDs. But others won't work. How can I improve? Should I work on my recall more? Thanks. Also are there other techniques I could use to stabilize the dream and make it last longer? And how can I keep my self from rushing and getting excited?

Once you become lucid, try to take deep breaths, do your best to remain calm. First thing you should do before rushing into flying, changing scenes, etc, is work on walking slowly. Never focus one one thing for too long also, that will make you unstable. Dont think about becoming unstable either, believe youre gonna stay stable, and you will
You see things and say, 'Why?", but I dream things and say, 'Why not?

Well, the first thing obviously is to remain calm, because your adrenaline from excitement will wake you up. You could work on All Day Awareness, and that would help you not only to become lucid, but to use your senses more and therefore have an easier time becoming stable. Another thing that might be taken into effect, is how far along in the REM cycle you are when you become lucid. I've had multiple times when I've become lucid at the end of the cycle, and ended up just sitting there and performing a DEILD. For me, personally, rubbing the hands together works a few times, also feeling other textures and just using all the senses. As for recall... Everyone should always be working on that.

You could go to bed thinking "I WILL have a vivid LD tonight!" and surprisingly, it works a lot of the time. Also don't try to stabilize, just do it. Have faith in yourself.
