Is a loud alarm bad for DEILD?

I've been trying to DEILD with my alarm set to vibrate but the vibration of my phone is so loud i always wake up like someone scared me. althought i don't move at all nor i open my eyes , i never feel vibrations , i only feel the numbness of my body. But if i wake up in the middle of the night because of some other sound coming from outside and i stay still i always enter LD through vibrations. So does that mean the current alarm i'm using makes me too alert?

It could be, try to use something else. You might be able to learn to not be so jolted through the vibrations and just get used to it. Try to test things out and see what works best for you.

Yea sometimes when its too loud it will jolt you awake, but on the other hand if its to soft it wont wake you up. So go somewhere in between. I even tend to jolt awake when its on vibrate, but you can also usually change the level of vibration too. Usually for DEILD you want to make an alarm that will turn off itself so you dont move. Just in case you dont already know.

Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.
