Did i only get lucky to start LDing?

I've never had a FA or LD before i found out about LDing. The first night i read about LDs i had a FA in the morning.I woke up in my bedroom and i guess it's now my dreamsign or something , because from that time , every night i get 2 to 6 FAs.I sometimes fail to do several RCs though. So after my first LD i told my friend and my brother about LDing, it's been a month now and they have been trying every morning , in different times etc , but they can't enter LD..So was i just lucky to have my bed or any other in my room as a dreamsign and i'm only having LDs because of that?
Also a strange thing.. all of my LDs start at 8:57 AM, except one lol.I thought REM cycles are only a part of 8 hours of sleep?I fall asleep at 12AM , so thats almost 9 hours of sleep.

Congrats! It's pretty common to get "Beginner's Luck," where you have a few when you first learn about it and then go a while without them while your mind re-trains itself to do this, although you sound like you've upgraded that a bit. Maybe you are just lucky. Or you have a knack for it, a good mind-body connection, who knows - keep trying and you'll find out.

It is really strange that your LDs all start at 8:57, how do you know this? Do you wake up every time and see the clock, or are you seeing it in your dream? Because my theory when I first read this was that you're having some sort of reoccurring sign having to do with the time 8:57 when you first wake up in your dream state and see the clock, or maybe since you always fall asleep at 12 your body just naturally starts its REM cycle around then.

About REM, as long as you're sleeping the cycle will continue itself and get longer - it doesn't stop if you sleep too long, it only stops when it gets cut short. The later in your sleep the REM period is, the longer it is and the greater the chance you'll wake up during it, or remember it.

      Anyway, keep us updated

Thanks for your response!I know it starts at 8:57 , because all of my lucid dreams so far didn't last longer than 3 - 4 minutes. When i'm sure i woke up for real, i check the clock and the clock shows something from 8:59 to 9:01 .I've only one LD that started at around 6 AM .Another problem is that i only remember my dreams if i do a WBTB and i usually can't fall asleep until about 8 AM :/.And also it is strange that i can't remember any other dreams until around 7 AM :/ and now all of my dreams start with me getting out of my bed in my room .It's really good , because i can have much more LDs this way.
