      Will mantra meditation help ld's?

i'm not talking about the hindu mantra. i'm talking aboutthe mantra medittion thats practiced just for relaxation and stuff. will doing this help with ld's?

also, as a side note, are their any types of meditations still out there, not tied with any relgion (excpet christiani s there is one) that will kinda let you review or think more clearly. for example, Samurai use to meditate after practice in order to review the fight in slow motion so they could catch any weaknesses in their attack or their enemies. the jedi also did this type of meditation lol, j/p
and when he gets to heaven, to saint peter he will tell. "one more soldier reporting sir. i've served my time in hell"

Okay, let me see if I know what you are asking... you don't want any mantras or meditations which will make you One with the Universe. You just want mantras and meditations that will help you become better at committing violence.

well, you're so lucky! I got a perfect meditation and mantra just for that application. First don't relax. Then take short and shallow panting breaths and repeat over and over again "I hate everyone, I hate everything". Then later, to see if it is working, you can go out and catch other people's pets and mutilate them. When you find yourself enjoying these atrocities, then you have gotten what you have gone after.

I have to commend you, Leo. That is top-notch advice to say the least. Sin, I would suggest listening to the man, for only a truely disturbed individual would have advice such as this, at-the-ready. If your intent is to be as foul, and barbarically-minded as Leo suggests, (however, for some strange reason, I doubt it is,) then his obviously irrelevant, sarcastic attempt @ what I'm sure would be called "humor" would be the perfect way to go.

Way to keep the information flowing. Glad we are all here to help one another, displaying the epitomy of fellow human understanding and benevolence. Keep up the good work.

wow dude...if that made you think i'm viloent then i'm glad you've never seen me on some other boards.

anyways, no, what i asked had nothing to do with violence.
      1) my main question was would mantra (meditation) help with ld's

the only thing violent i said was about samurai fighting and that was just to give an example of meditation. i'm really looking for something that i can go 'o crap, a problem. let me meditate over this" and do it. thats why i then jokingly said Yoda as another example becasue you always see him meditating over problems in Star Wars..
the only reason i also said 'without anything hindu' wasn't because of the peace in it. it's cause i'm a christian and i don't want anything going against my religion when i meditate.

It never occurred to you that people would interpret you disdain of Hindu and Religious Mantras as a form of bigotry, especially when you were willing use the chant of murderers in their place.

It is as though you are embarrassed by Goodness and Light and need to skulk in the Dark.

Have you ever heard of the book "Jesus Lived in India" by Holger Kersten. It presents two thesises, that the Kashmir was populated by a semitic people -- he found an old census from the 3rd Century B.C which indicates that "Moses" was the name of every third boy, and that many of the place names match those from the Old Testament. The second premise is that Jesus survived the crucifixion and spent some time in India.

What made me think of you was that this Jesus was made Master of Ceremonies for the Third Worldwide Buddhist Conference that was held in the Kashmir on about 90 A.D., which would have made Jesus an old man, but that is how he was reported to have appeared. His name is still enscribed on some stone ruins in the Kashmir -- they built some pavillions for the crowds, and some were dedicated to Jesus, in stone.

Jesus delivered the keynote speech and was apparently the Father of Mahayana Buddhism -- the form of Buddhism that isn't self-serving atheism that was not significantly different from the Stoicism of the Roman Emperors who were not particularly known for their holiness.
