      Help, please.

Aright so I've had a couple lucid dreams in my life (by accident) and i got really interested in it, but I've been trying for about a month now and I've gotten no where. My dream recall was already good when i started so no improvements there and even though I'm trying to become more aware of my surrounds and all that jazz it still hasn't helped in my dreams. I'm still profoundly ignorant in my dreams as i was when i started. I mean really stupid. Last night i had a dream about a bunch of bears that were chasing me and i drop kicked one in the face and then hopped down a cliff and landed in this foggy wonder land type place with really green trees that had a bunch of witches that would offer me a bunch of weed that was poisonous. I mean come on, you would think that would have throw up some red flags, but no, nothing. i ate that weed like crazy...

Anyways i was wondering if there was any tips or a little reassurance would be helpful as I'm beginning to slack off and i need some motivation...

Try eating foods with Vitamin B6(like peanut butter or bananas). Vitamin B6 generally improves your dream's vividness which in turn, can increase the chances of you discovering that you're dreaming. If you think you're not making any improvements, why not try another technique like WILD or DEILD? If you have clarifications/questions, feel free to ask

You should check out the poll I just made in Lucid Experiences forum. Its all about the awareness that spawns after knowing "This is a dream" to the world around you.
All of experience is fun for me, whether in a dream, or in reality, because I love existing, learning, and continuously evolving and sustaining. Then again, who knows, I may not enjoy existing so much if I caught a face full of buckshot from an angry farmer. But hey, at least I'd got out with a bang.

I've tried eating a peanut butter sandwich before sleep and the first time it didn't really seem to help with the vividness and the second time i had no recall of any dreams at all. so i stopped. and i think I'm going to have to stick with DILD for now. I don't think my roommate who sleeps about three feet away from me (small dorms) would appreciate the alarm at 4 in the morning. =s. thanks for the advice tho. I'll eat another peanut butter sandwich tonight and see what happens. =D

You should definitely start cultivating a sense of physical and mental awareness, as lucidity is basically being aware within a dream. Awareness will help produce DILDs, as well as help you keep your consciousness during a WILD attempt, should you try either of those methods (I'd definitely recommend DILD, coupled with WBTB and MILD). If you're feeling more adventurous, try a WILD but be sure to read up on the hallucinations and everything that you might experience during it!

If you haven't yet, check out the Dreamviews Wiki for information.

Finally, if you have any questions about the different techniques, dream control, or just the forum in general, feel free to send me a PM!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
