      Weight loss and lucid dreaming

      I read an article (can't find a link, sorry) about weight loss. It said that, if you become aware of how much physical effort you use in daily activities, then you will lose weight as a consequence of this awareness, even if you don't increase the amount of physical effort you do daily.

      I was thinking how this could possibly help with the quest for lucidity. People often attempt to WILD, fail at the WILD, but report that they still had a DILD. I am thinking that being aware of this fact will make you more likely to have a DILD. Sure, you may be likely to have a DILD if your WILD fails anyway, but being aware of the fact helps to tip the odds in your favour, even if it's just a by just a slight amount.

      Taking this a step further, I am going to try an experiment: Every night on going to bed I am going to make a list of items on why I'm likely to have an LD that night. Featuring items such as:

      I did twenty RCs during the day
      I went on Dreamviews
      I remembered a dream I thought I'd forgotten
      I thought about dreaming while I was on the bus
      I heard a friend at work talking about dreams

      The fact that I did these things during the day will make me more likely to have an LD anyway, but being aware of the fact may increase my chances even further.

      I'm not thinking this will make me have LDs every night, but it could be the difference between LDing or not. Any thoughts?
      My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

      It would increase the intent to Lucid Dream hence increase the chance that you will lucid dream.

      You should do that for a certain amount of time and then test it for significance against how many LD's you had in the same amount of time before you were making the lists. Because statistics R funz? lol.

      Meh, I would just recommend doing mantras, you can do all the RCs and stuff in the day, but for me, 5 minute mantra before bed works really well.

      I just meant they should do that afterwards to see if making the lists statistically made you have more LDs as a way to test the results, not as a lucid aid.
