Congratulations! I love that moment when you realize it's a dream.
My advice is to not immediately start running around and trying to do everything, but sit down, feel the floor and look around the room, decide what you want to do logically (getting into this habit is very useful, especially when you make goals you are going to want to achieve in the future) This will also make the lucid much longer and fuller.
Also, closing your eyes is not always a good idea, for the reason you already discovered, it makes you wake up. For flying, it also helps to stay calm, walk outside instead of trying to fly through your roof, then there are dozens of ways people suggest trying to fly, there are plenty of threads on it if you care to look them up. If I ever have trouble flying I summon boosters to my hands and feet, like Iron Man's, it is a very fun and exciting way to fly ^ _ ^
Good luck and good dreams!
