      Question Problems while being lucid.

Hey guys! So, i had my first lucid dream last night, basically by doing reality checks every 15 minutes. It was so... crazy, when you read all those things about flying, going through walls, controlling things, and all that stuff. But i have a few questions, hope you'll help me

      1. Is it normal to have fear of heights, even in my dream? Sometimes i was actually afraid to fly down on the ground again

      2. I couldn't move things with my mind. I remember doing crazy things with my hands, but i JUST couldn't

      3. When i tried to have sex, i didn't know how to transport people i already knew in the real world.

      4. I really want a lucid dream again, is there any method you could recommend me? Please not WILD, because im too scared to go through Sleep Paralysis and all that stuff

      Thanks!

Hey mikkel. I'd be glad to help!

      1. Yes, as I still struggle with it to a small extent today and I've been having lucid dreams for months. It just takes practice as you have to remind yourself none of it is real and you won't be harmed in any way!

      2. Will-power is key. Believe you can do something and you will. It's that simple.

      3. As stated above, simply believe that you'll find them and you will. Spawning things/people out of thin air can be tricky, so try short-cuts such as turning a corner and expecting to see them. You could try going to places where you're most likely going to find them (like their home). If you don't know where they live, try asking a dream character to show you.

      4. People make out that WILDing is scary - it really isn't. I, for one, do not experience any form of sleep paralysis when I WILD; I go straight from awake to dreaming with no real transition in between. However, I think WILDing is a bit too advanced for you in this moment in time anyway as you're only a beginner. I'd recommend familiarising yourself with the basics, such as:

      DILD

This is where you become aware during a dream. Keeping a dream journal and performing reality checks help with this.

By reality checks I don't mean just going through the motions hoping they make you lucid, as this happens very rarely. Practice your awareness when performing these to increase your chances of becoming aware during a dream, as reality checks mainly serve to reinforce the fact you're dreaming when you're already lucid. Two things which I would recommend (which go hand in hand with DILD) are ADA (All Day Awareness) and SA (Sporadic Awareness).

      DEILD

This is where you catch yourself immediately after you've woken up from a dream and do not move an inch (including eye movement, etc). By doing so your body will think the mind is still asleep and makes going back into the previous dream one hell of a lot easier.

There are others, but what I mainly use is WILD, DILD, DEILD, ADA and SA. You may be compatible with these, but the only way you can really find out is by experimentation. Everybody is different; everybody has their own ideal methods.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to PM me!

Hi there my friend, I'm more than happy to answer your questions

      1. Is it normal to have fear of heights, even in my dream? Sometimes i was actually afraid to fly down on the ground again
Yes, it's normal to carry with you in a dream the stuff you are mostly scared of in real life. But be confident in yourself and don't let this little things hinder you in doing the things you want to do in dreams, remember that Lucid Dreams are hard to achieve so make the most out of it.

      2. I couldn't move things with my mind. I remember doing crazy things with my hands, but i JUST couldn't
Just like what Graves said, believe. Act as if you've done this thing before, act like you are a master already.

      3. When i tried to have sex, i didn't know how to transport people i already knew in the real world.
Ah yes, the one thing I'm an adept. What I usually do to transport real life people to a dream is that I ask any nearby Dream Character to point out where this people are. Let's say I want to meet this hot neighbor of mine, I'll ask this nearby Dream Character to point our and lead me where my hot neighbor is. Or you can just search for the person you want and shout his or her name while shouting. Be confident that you'll find him/her.

      4. I really want a lucid dream again, is there any method you could recommend me? Please not WILD, because im too scared to go through Sleep Paralysis and all that stuff
I would recommend you to do a DILD(Dream Induced Lucid Dream), it's 100% SP free. Read the official DILD Tutorial to grasp the main concept.

Be sure to practice, practice, and last of all, practice. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time . Hope this helps

Thank you SO much both! I think i'll stick to the DILD or DEILD, because i've reality checked over 200 times today. Wow, lucid dreaming is amazing

Personally I'd say that's rather excessive. It's not the amount of reality checks which matter, it's the quality. A person who only did 2 reality checks a day but did them thoroughly would stand a better chance than somebody who did 500 a day and simply went through the motions. Like I said, reality checks rarely get you lucid themselves - it's awareness which gets you lucid.

Im going to try the WBTB technique tonight, combined with MILD. Do you think there is a good chance to get lucid again? Thanks.

There's a chance to become lucid every night - multiple times. I think there's more than a good chance.
