      Hearing and Brain Hemispheres

      OK everyone knows that the left side of the body is governed by the right brain (the creative side) and the right side of the body by the left brain (logical side).

      The same is true with the eyes.

      However, while reading about Brain Entrainment and binaural beats, I seem to remember seeing diagrams that show that sounds from the ear go directly into the hemisphere of the same side (left ear goes to left hemisphere, vice versa).

      Can anyone tell me whether or not this is true?

      The Surat Shabd People quite insist that meditation upon the Sound that one hears buzzing in one's head should be confined to that in the Right Ear only. And they have always had the nicest people in their Organization, with relatively few scandals (though Old Kirpal Singh had sued Eckankar founder Paul Twitchell back in the seventies copyright infringment... I don't know what Kirpal was worried about... that obvious sleazebag Twitchell would not even be in the same Market as the profoundly austere Surat Shabd Movement. And their new Guru seems to pack an honest punch -- just looking at you he can flood your field of vision with the White Light (crowded room too, so he isn't using gas).
