      My dreams are empty

      I need halp!
Every time I've become lucid lately my dream just disappears and I see black. I tried recreating a dreamscape but I couldn't. This has been happening to me the last 2 times I've become lucid.
      Please Help!!
I was so much older then, I'm younger then that now.

What happens when you become lucid, do you get really excited and over the moon because you became lucid?
If so thats probally why, if not then look up some stabilization techniques to maintain the dream for longer. This is common, remember lucid dreaming is a skill

You can imagine in dreams very easily if you believe it, if it's just blackness expect something behind you. Give it a try and if it doesn't work we can work on dream incubation.

It's not that, when I get lucid I'm in a passive mood as I always am except the dream just fades and turns to black. The picture came backs once but then totally disappeared. It disappears as soon as my consciousness gets into the dream.

So basically just imagine that it's black only in front of me and that there is a dreamscape behind me? I'll try that.

Thanks for the help, Next time I get lucid I'll try the tips.

It's happened to me before a few times and spinning has created a new dream scene, so I'd try that. Spinning usually results in a new dream scene, sometimes it's a false awakening though so remember to do a reality check after you've done it.

OMG this happens to me almost every night. I am in a dream, and then suddenly I will realize I am dreaming, and the picture will fade away and become black. I usually enter into SP and get stuck in this black but motionless state of nothingness. It is absolutely horrible!!! I wish I could efface this reaction to becoming conscious. It has been happening a lot lately, and it really erks me!

Yeah man, it's annoying and It happened in like my last 2-3 lucids it sucks enough that I don't get them often but when I do I have this shit happening to me. Lol, so I'll try what everyone said in the thread so I can fix it next time. In fact this is what demotivated me for a month or so.

Yeah it definitely demotivated my motivation as well, because it is really anticlimactic. I almost expect it now, and it has become a habit. Time to readjust mindset for sure! Good Luck to you

That's very strange, this happened to me one time, during my most amazing lucid yet. I was in this place, I suddenly said, "Wait a minute, this is a dream!" Everything faded and went to black, but only for a second. Then a new place instantly appeared. I wonder why you can't create any dreamscapes.

I had an ld last night and it wasn't black. It was incredibly boring, I didn't do anything at all in it except play my broken DSi and go on the Internet on it. I can't change dreamscapes, fly, or summon anything.

Instead of doing normal things like playing a video game, you should go on an adventure. Also if you want any items like a weapon, expect them to be in a drawer or on the floor around the corner. Same thing with people. If your looking for someone in your dream, ask a DC and s/he should know.

I had this happen to me before but it can in a shape of a black orb. And what I sense is that this darkness was like a living entity before me.

What has worked for me is that instead of expecting something from a lucid dream instead of gaining something I try to do anything I can to offer value first. Even if it's just by observing this black void or whatever it might be, give it attention, open yourself up to understanding it and allow it to feel that you are giving value instead of just expecting something first. Hope this helps.
