      Convince myself it's not scary?

      Hello!
So before going to sleep tonight I decided I wanted to go to a beach with my girlfriend during my dream. So I tried to WILD dream. I laid down on my back and thought "On the beach with elise" over and over and just started picturing the beach and trying to feel it. Then I started to relax my body starting with my head and then working my way down to my toes and starting again.

I started to get vibrations. Almost similar to when a body part falls asleep. Was I getting there? Was I close? Well it sort of freaked me out and I started thinking about scary things and I started thinking I was going to lose control and it was going to develop into a nightmare.

How should I convince myself enough to let myself try this out at least once?

First things first, you tried to WILD before you slept? Not a good idea, will 99% end in failure, not impossible, just not probable, you need to sleep first, try waking up after 4-7 hours of sleep and try again.
Vibrations/sounds/images or anything strange when falling asleep is completely normal. Its different for everyone, but the same for everyone, in the sense that its not real, you do not vibrate, you dont see ghosts, you just imagine you do because the body is shutting down and losing sense of reality.
To overcome fear just remember one thing, the only thing to fear, is fear itself. NOT that im saying fear fear! im saying there is nothing to fear! absolutely nothing. Nightmares are only nightmares because you dont know its a dream, if you know its a dream then what are you afraid of? you can be the biggest meanest most evilest monster and kill whatever that fear is, because its a dream, its all in your head, theres nothing to be afraid of
Lucid dreaming can and probally will be the most wonderous and amazing experiences you will ever experience, so atleast keep at it then decide if you like it, because i guarantee you will love it!
