Hello!
Although I am quite successful in becoming lucid since I am more devoted (I had 2 LDs in September, 10 LDs in October and 7 LDs in November), I have some concerns.
I use these reality checks: nose-plug, finger-count, finger/palm, clocks, reading and computer (and very rarely memory, gravity and light-switch, too). I always do at least 2 RCs, usually 4 together, and then I briefly view my surrounding and I ask if I am dreaming. The problem is that when I am dreaming and I do a RC and it fails, I never remember to do another one although I do it all the time IRL. What's wrong? Only about 10% RCs failed in my dreams. But this number comes from the dreams I remember only. I think I remember most my lucid dreams, but I remember only minority regular dreams. Probably my RCs fail in many more regular dreams which I don't remember, so the total success can be as low as 50%.
The next problem is frequency. I used to do about 40 series of RCs per day averagely and I learnt to remember to do them during almost all my activities. Nowadays I have problem that I remember too often sometimes. Sometimes I remember to do a RC every minute (or even more often) and I cannot stop. Should I do RCs when I know that I have done RCs recently with the result that I am awake? I am afraid that if I don't do them, it can carry to my dreams (with the false info I have done RCs recently) and then I may omit them even in the dream. So I do them whenever I remember. The problem is that I do RCs meanwhile I know I am awake from recent RCs. Although I pretend I wonder if I am dreaming, I don't truly believe in the possibility. I am afraid that this may carry into my dreams too. So I ask: Should I do RCs when I know that I have done RCs recently with the result that I am awake?
Thank you for your answer!
