Am I the only one that caught that? There's your answer right there. When you wake up, go over them in your mind as many times as you can. Find a 'dream buddy'. Someone you can talk about your dreams with. Make it a habit of talking with them about your dreams each day as soon as possible. Check my post in the other dream journal topic in this section. There's nothing magic about writing down a dream. Its all about forcing it into your long term memory. Talking about it with a friend might in fact help you to better remember your dream than had you been simply writing it down.

Could your friend record them for you?

RE: not living in the past - remembering the past doesn't mean, you don't live in the present. To the contrary - from our past we are learning to do better in our present and future. Without remembering the past, how can you get better and learn from your mistakes, for example? Just a thought.

Those who dont remember the past, are bound to repeat their mistakes =)
Hey, if nobody remembered or kept track of the past, probably movies would have the same cliche and boring stories that they had lots of years ago, because no one would care to make them different!
and that is just an example
