How do I make my lucid dreams brighter?

My dreams lately have been very dark kinda like if I'd been trying to look with my eyes almost closed. And sometimes it's like I close my eyes in my dream and I can't see anything and when that happens it's really hard to open them again. But I do have normal dreams too when everything is just like in real life but the last few dreams have been fading into blackness.

Do you have any tips on how to make my dreams brighter or what to do when it's like I've closed my eyes and want the visual part back?

I've only done this once, but I got out of blindness in a lucid dream before. After I went blind I stayed calm and I switched to a third person perspective. Suddenly my vision came back and it even changed night to day.

If you want your dreams to be brighter, they will be.

I just tried the WBTB method last night, and it really helped me with vividness!! Instead of waking up for an hour or so, like they say to do, I just woke up, shut off the alarm, and went back to sleep I didn't have a lucid dream, but things were VERY vivid and i could recall the dream much easier. Hope this helps!

There are many ways you can many your lucid dreams brighter, you just have to be creative! They're your dreams, therefore, you can bend them to your will. You can try something as simple as a voice command, starting off with stabilizing, "stabilise!" and then perhaps increasing the vividness/clarity of the dream. Finally, use something like "brighten". If that doesn't help, you may just have to turn on a light or.. summon a sun A pair of night vision goggles, maybe?
What you can do is endless, just use your imagination~

Before I go to sleep, I try to relax my mind and body by replaying my day like a movie.

Essentially it is a swift and painless way to clear all the clutter out of your mind in preparation for sleep and dreaming. All that is involved in the technique is a quick mental replay of the events of your day. You can do this in one of three ways:

      1. Start at the beginning of your day and mentally replay the events of the day until you reach the end.

      2. Start at the end of your day and mentally replay the events backward until you reach the beginning of your day. You don't have to imagine everything moving backwards as if you're rewinding a video. Just start with the last event before bedtime and review it, then proceed to the event prior to that one and review it, and so forth.

      3. Write about the events of the day in a journal.

As you mentally replay the day's events, you don't need to recall every little detail or replay every action or every conversation in a minute-by-minute recount of the day. Replay each event calmly and objectively and then move on to the next event. The entire process should take only a few minutes.

You need to actively take steps to make your dreams more vivid first because that helps you anchor to the dreamworld better.
