Do you have a hard time falling asleep when you first go to bed at night? Is it just the anticipation that keeps you awake? |

Can you guys give me any tips on how to fall asleep fast? When I WBTB it takes me a lot of time to fall back to sleep even though I just go to the bathroom. I do stay still and I also clear my head. My room has very little light and no external noise. |

Try some relaxation techniques. |

I think it is the anticipation. I am not really excited, it is more that I'm Ready to do this feeling. I usually fall asleep in 15 minutes at first, but when I wake up it can be anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes. I'm interested in your falling asleep thing. I also stretch before I try to WILD. Could that be the problem? |

It sounds backwards, but I have noticed that I have an easier time falling back to sleep if I stay awake for a good amount of time. Ten to twenty minutes seems best. It gives me time to think about everything I need to think about. If I am only up for a few minutes, there is a higher probability of being stuck with a racing mind. |

Thank you for your advice. I'll give this a shot. |

Ok time to go off-topic, |

“When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”
I always listen to relaxing nature music, helps me. I usually can fall asleep fast if I don't eat/exercise at least and hour before bed. Stretching also helps me fall asleep. |
