Can DC's know a second language?

Hey I have been thinking about this. I have been taking Spanish class in HS since last year. I get good grades, but when we are watching videos and stuff I only pick up bits and pieces, and I have to think about each word in every sentence I want to say. Which is probably normal for my level. But I'm wondering, because I am exposed to it in class everyday, is my subconscious picking up a drastic amount more than me? My main question is, could DCs speak accurate fast Spanish? Has anyone experienced what I'm talking about?

It most likely could- as when your not consciencly paying attention, your subconscience could absorb it- but it may only speak what you consciencely know. Then again it will usually only speak the language you prefer and use more often, so no worries

My main question is, could DCs speak accurate fast Spanish? How would one ever know, unless well-versed in the language in the first place?
