      Subconscious teasing, any ideas?

As the title says, my subconscious seems to be teasing me. I have yet to have a lucid dream but in several of my dreams ive talked about dreaming.

In one dream I had a conversation about my dreams and what happened in them the night before.

In another I decided to read exploring the world of lucid dreaming.

And last night in the beginning of my dream, a friend and I was watching die hard and at the end of that same dream I said "die hard is an awesome movie when your dreaming."

Does anyone have any clue why I can't seem to make the connection in my dreams? This seems like a peculiar problem. I'm sorry if there's any errors, this is being typed from my iPhone. Thank you.

      -Nick

      Not entirley sure.
You should do an RC everytime dreaming is mentioned. That might help.

That's the thing, I don't think about it when it happens.

In one of my dreams I thought about telling the difference between lucid dreaming and reality, sound's like a similiar thing happened to you. I never thought about it either, until I had a DILD.

See I have yet to have a lucid dream within this year. So maybe it means I'm getting close?

Uh, please don't talk about 'your subconscious' as a separate, thinking entity. 'It' is not 'teasing' you, that's just a sign that you've got your mind set on Lucid Dreaming.

I think the subconscious mind has enough credit to be considered separate from the conscious, hence the fact that it's subconscious and conscious, two different categories. The subconscious mind holds a lot of unknown, so get the fuck out of my thread. Thanks

Have you tried being more aware of yourself and your surroundings?
If not, you could try the ADA technique

Yeah, I'll have to consider that. Back about two years ago I was well placed with DILDs and Autosuggestions, I've been having odd occurences trying to get the art back down. Thank you for actually suggesting something.
"There's nothing to fear, but fear itself."
"Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange."

I've had similar experiences; usually I'm trying to make another person lucid without realizing I'M dreaming, or talking about lucid dreaming in general. Looks like you've developed the same dream sign. Read the Dream Signs Tutorial found via the wiki. Acknowledge it as your dream sign. Train yourself to recognize them and raise your awareness when they occur.
