and someone said something dissing linkin park.. that's mean cuz linkin park is actaully pretty cool! not as good as metallica, hell no, but still..they're pretty nice.
      bands:

      1. AFI
      2. the ataris
      3. metallica
      4. vendetta red
      5. nine days
      6. taking back sunday
      7. dashboard confessional
      8. misfits
      9. transplants

yup, does to me too, but think about it; metal all sounds the same to people who don't like it, rap all sounds the same to people who don't like it, it all depends on what you like. weird huh?

um...hehe, no? only heard a few of the bands you metioned, like Metallica. take a look at my favorite bands again :

Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Morbid Angel, Opeth, Cradle of Filth?

I mean, I like heavy/black metal and you like....rock? punk rock I think? I GUESS you can say our music tastes are similar...wait..no, you can't.

Ive heard people say metal all sounds the same too. But country does suck really. I like some metal like pantera and Danzig and stuff i use to listen to in highschool just never got into some of these other ones like Hell on earth or cradle of filth just not my style. But im still no hater im pretty open minded when it comes to music.

Yes metal does sound all the same I suppose from someone outside looking inward... That is until you've been intiated then you find out how diverse it is and the levels to which it extends, I suppose this is true with every genre. But I find Metal the most rawest form of music not because it's just loud, but because it stares death in the face, it faces all that stuff that people don't like to talk about and laughs at it, you could say it's mans desire to stay alive and avoid death...
On the other hand though it is loud!

You know that movie High Fidelity with John Cusack? They have a bunch of top five lists. What are your top-five songs of the moment?

Mine are Third Planet by Modest Mouse, Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye, What Condition My Condition Is In by Kenny Rogers, Three Is A Magic Number by Blind Melon, and Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips.

*Fearing for his life with all these physco people around*

I really don't like modern music. I'll admit I enjoy a few funny Weird Al songs, but the rest is just noise. Classical music is much more enjoyable in my opinion. Also, rock songs today don't honor God in the least, and scriptures commanded that all songs we sing should.

Benisatou. God I am a geek. =P Ninja Scroll (aka \"Ninja's of the Mystical Wind\") was the first anime I owned. It was in Japanese with no subtitles. Fun.

I have a pretty big and ecclectic playlist, but if I had to choose:
      1. System of a Down, "Aerials"
      2. Chevelle, "The Red"
      3. Linkin Park, "Broken Glass"
      4. Evanescence, "Going Under"
      5. Boa, "Duvet" (the title song to Serial Experiments Lain)

But that's just for the moment. I'm a girl, though, so I could change my mind in about five minutes or so.

      ^

awsome list, even though i'm not into rock anymore. i still like SOAD occasionally. you like the band or just that one song?

      my list:

      KoRn - Ball Tongue
      KoRn - Clown
      KoRn - Chutes and Ladders
Kittie - What I Always Wanted
      Kittie - Pain

yeah, i know that's totally gay....but i REALLY need new CDs. everything i have is worn out, (but i could never get tired of Kittie ) and i borrowed KoRns first album from my drum teacher so that's all play.
oi, send me some moneys so i can buy CDs!!!!

I haven't heard much SOAD, but I like what I've heard so far. I like Korn too. They put on a hell of a live show. Lots of energy.

the album Oracle is a whole lot heavier with alot more screaming, Spit definately has more singing in it. i love them both!

Strange to think that this thread is 4 pages long and I can say two inteligeble words about it.
"Everyone wants to be the star of their own movie. No one wants to be a support cast..." - Leoj

"Everyone thinks that that point of "The Rtex Show" is that Rtex gets what he wants. When in reality "The Rtex Show" Is really the long sad tale of what happens to Rtex before he dies." - Leoj
