Yes, that's good for awareness practice. What I start with, is this startling question 'wow, am I dreaming?' that jolts my attention and makes me stop doing whatever I'm doing. For a moment I entertain the idea, that I'm sure this is a dream or false awakening and I can feel the excitement in the pit of my stomach. Just pretend, that you have had a lucid dream that was indistinguishable from waking reality, so any waking moment is possible to actually be a dream and you don't know for sure untill you RC.
For WBTB, you do have to get out of bed. Your mind has to believe, that you are ready to start your day. Do some math to wake up your logical center of your brain and think about LDing - go on DV, watch LDing videos, read tutotials even if you have already read them. But don't stay up past the point when you not sleepy anymore. You still have to fall asleep without any problems. As you falling asleep, repeat your favorite mantra - 'I lucid dream', 'I look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming', or anything to that effect. Hope this helps
