      Advice/help please?

So I have been trying to lucid dream for 2 years on and off. I recently got back into it about a month ago.

I have had only 2 LD's in one night a few days ago but never a fufilling one that I consider an experience. Currently I am just writing all my dreams in my DJ and waking up after my REM cycles trying to go back to sleep but no luck in this whole two years.

A few days ago I woke up at 3:00am and couldent sleep until 6:00am because I was vomiting (drank alot). I finally fell asleep but I was in my room and I thought I was awake. I saw dancing skeletons and realized I was lucid. I then reality checked but woke up but I was too exicted though I was thinking about going outside.

I woke up in sleep paralysis and eventually fell asleep again but I was in my room again. I then RC'd again and realized I was dreaming but I got caught up at looking at myself in the mirror and woke up again.

I really want to have a fufilling lucid dream and I am really dissapointed I am not. Right now I am just waking up at 1:40am to do a WBTB but I dont get much success other than remembering alot of dreams.

Anyone been in a similar situation? I am not sure what to do and I am really sad because a got a little taste a few days ago and I dont even know if it will happen again.

Hi there, sounds like your getting a little too excited when you realise your dreaming hence making yourself wake up. Try practising relaxation and whenever your in you bedroom do a reality check, I mean every single time you will then automatically do it in your dream when you have a FA and when you realise your dreaming just observe for a moment and take time to calm yourself then touch objects to stabilise. It's exciting when you realise but it can so easily crash your dream. Also imagine you are dreaming and then you realise your dreaming and imagine you are calming yourself etc before going any further this will help for when it does happen. Hope this helps, pm me anytime and happy dreaming
