      sleep paralysis?

hi guys, I'm new here. just wanted to ask about something I experienced just moments ago. I was lying in bed, meditating. I had my eyes closed, my feet spread and my arms at my sides. I just was just lying there and taking deep breaths for about 15 minutes, when my body started tingling in my extremities, then in my core and body. it felt awesome, but u got really nervous and started moving. now my hands are really jittery, was I entering sleep paralysis?

It doesn't sound to me that you were but that's just my view.....there is what I call a rush through your body when you get SP...it's kinda hard to explain but when you have it you will know, there will be no mistaking it, it's a feeling that you have never ever felt before, not just tingling and a feeling of numbness but an overwhelming and very odd feeling but just relax and go with it don't be scared, although you may get a little concerned when it does happen but we all go through it. The tingling you felt was prob your body just relaxing which is great...just carry on from there and relax as much as you can you will eventually get that sudden rush and maybe the whooshing noise in your ears, just stay calm and if it freaks you out at first then try again the next night, perseverance is the answer..you can do it

That tingling always precedes sleep paralysis for me as my body numbs. If you had been trying to, you probably would have hit SP pretty soon.
